I've been around and seen a few things, from awful to amazing. Broken babies, exploding nuclear plants, plumbing river bottoms, rowing through icebergs, being mistaken for a griz, and detained in communist countries will change your perspective. There's a taste of realism and an eye for the absurd that's been refined in the forge of adversity. I'm am compelled to observe and report those things in life that people either don't see or don't want to know, whether humorous or wrenching. And now that my head is irreparably broken by thumping it on things so I can no longer play hockey, I'm going to write. God help you all.
